About The Marty Brayman Hockey Fund
On Tuesday September 10, 2019 Canada was devasted by the loss of beloved son, brother, uncle, solider, and avid hockey fan Master Corporal Martin Liam Brayman.
Marty was tragically murdered in the company of his friends and comrades while on assignment serving his country in Florida. His story made national news across Canada and the US, and devastated his family, town, and nation (CBC, National Post, FOX News, CTV, Globe and Mail).
Marty’s family is committed to his memory living on. Our goal is to honor Marty by honoring what he loved – hockey. The Brayman family launched the Marty Brayman Kids Hockey Fund shortly after his passing with the goal to help local deserving young children in the sport of hockey.
The fund will provide a $1,000 gift every year for three years to a child in need to cover the cost of them getting into hockey. The money will go towards gear, team & league registration costs, and other costs that prevent local families from allowing their children to play the game we all love. The gift will support local children from Marty’s hometown of Kemptville Ontario, as well as surrounding areas.
Marty touched many people in his life. Your donation of any size will go a long way in helping continue to touch the lives of children who need it the most. Your gift will also help a family, who has been devasted by the loss of Marty, heal by paying forward the love that Marty gave to so many.
Thank you for your gift! With love and blessings,
-The Brayman Family”
